混合普通照片10/20, 10/21, 10/24, 10/26 mixture of non-special photos

So recently I haven't really done anything too special; with all the study going on and reading assignments all on my shoulders, I can't manage to travel a lot. Therefore, here are mixture of some photos near by Mile End; they of course, aren't nearly as special as the photos from the Bank, nor the Gherkin, but I don't blame myself for NOT taking special photos. So I think I will take these rare, unforgettable photos later, depends when I finish my assignments and chores.

Without further a due, the top photo was my meal, it's eggplant(aubergine if ur English) with black bean sauce. Actually on that day(10/20), I was desperately trying to eat a meal that consist of eggplant because I really missed eating 'em. Unfortunately, there's no good places for 'em around our uni; thus, I decided to go to a lousy Chinese take out for the eggplants which of course, isn't half as good as my own cooking of eggplants. Now you might ask me"Why did u cook it urself?" Answer is very simple: Because I don't have the necessary pan to cook it! If I'm going to buy the pan, then it might 1. Cost me more. 2. Where am I going to put it in my luggage after I leave?? Despite that, I got the eggplant I wanted and felt satisfied with it! Now moving on.
Above: Yury, President of Russian Society here @ QM, and me. He's actually younger than me(20). But looks much older. I know that my hair looks hackneyed because this is quite fashionable back in the 20s in Shanghai. But no worry, it will grow back in December!

Above 3: By Burdett House near our school. These compartment of house consist of psychiatry and other medical related institutions around. It also consist of the NHS(National Health Services) of Britain. Because I was there on the weekend, nobody is there. Therefore, I simply took some photos for fun. Yeah I know compare to the Gherkin, it's no match.

Above: Tiny fountain by Burdett House

Above 2: During the Pudding Party 10/21. I met a few new friends. Very good event that night.
Above: Ooops, look like my eggplant was too HOT to swallow lol.
Above: Oh please, is this the BEST CHINESE TAKE OUT?! You got to be joking with me man! I only bought it because it contains EGGPLANT/AUBERGINE. Other than that, I'd NEVER go there because it's HORRIBLE compare to my home(Shenyang, Beijing, Shanghai, etc) restaurant/ take out places! Well, at least it suited my appetite.

10/17 乡村游览2 English countryside visit2

My new friends; Li from China & Larissa from Germany.

Above 2: After my grocery shopping @ a Chinese shop. I bought cool green tea, beef slices, and some pickled mustard...NOT exactly the ideal food because most of the times I felt hungry and sleepy. So it NOT exactly an ideal paradise vacation because the study is arduous!

Here are the remaining photos from the English countryside trip. Enjoy!
Dogs in the distance chasing one another after their swim in the river. So funny to watch 'em swim.

Above 3: Hey! They are the ducks and geese! It's so nice to watch 'em running and searching food! Moreover, it's more entertaining watching 'em flying when someone is about to charge @ 'em! At any case, I LOVE THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE!! IT'S DEFINITELY AN IDEAL VACATION SPOT IF ANYONE DESIRES TO STAY IN A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT!
Et voila! Thames River under a cloudy sky! I should have taken more photos but the memory is full; next time I'm getting a new memo card!

10/17 乡村游览1 English countryside visit1

Above: By the Thames River & the willow trees! See the houses if the background? Those are the houses here in the countryside of England! Unique shapes and designs!
Above: Mr. Goose is hungry...haha
Above: Ducks swimming in the Thames River. Reminds me of South Lake Park in China(See 九月 September 2008 archive).
Above: Houses on the other side of the Thames.
Above: Herds of cows! Looks very peaceful but NOT approachable.

Last weekend(Sat.), I went to the English Countryside in Marlow, southwest of London! While there, I was cheerful and delighted to see the Thames River and the numerous European styled houses, which were very similar to the oceanside houses in LA. Anyways, I met lots of friends on the trip/walk as well. The walk was arduous!!! Because it lasted over 1 & half hour!! We walked for about 5km!! That's more than 5 miles man!! Not to mention that it took me nearly 1 hour to get to the station by taking the underground which exhausted me already before the trip. Moreover, I did NOT eat breakfast @ all because I got up late and NOT a fan of getting up super early unless if I have classes! At either case, I did my best to walk along with the crew! So I shall describe these photos...

Above 2: By the stable; it looks like if I want to ride 1 of the horse haha!
Above: Shot by the Anchor Court
Above: This picture so reminicent of China! Willow trees touching the river. Quite majestic.
Above: Nice tree!
Above: Statues/gravestones of Angels praying to God! Very characteristic of Christianity...
Above: The castle like church reminds me of Oxford, I don't know why.

Above: The field is beautiful here! Does this picture reminds you of hollywood? It sure does for me haha.
Above: Anchor Court.
Overall, this experience was definitely an unforgettable 1! I shall cherish it forever!

格而金大厦,洗衣间与星吧克咖啡10/15; Gherkin! Laundry, & Starbucks

Top: Head shot of the Gherkin!

Above 2: I'm under the Gherkin! Not exactly the perfect photo because there was no professional photographers around...but it's ok.

Ok, remember 1 of my previous blogs I mentioned about the Gherkin? Well, here IT IS!!! I walked all the way from our school QM to the Gherkin! It only took about 25 minutes or so. But this place is definitely worthwhile especially when it's surrounded by other tall buildings and churches. This innovative building was designed to serve as a financial center of Swiss and English banks. Its shape was certainly an unique characteristic of London's architectures! If anyone's taking the Architecture course, then this is definitely a place to visit!

Above: I think that's Leadenhall Market nearby St. Helen's church
Above: Obviously this ought to be a church. But which 1? I think it's St. Andrew's.
Above: Finally!! After haven't had it for 1 year or so! My STARBUCKS MOCHA FRANBOCHINO IS BACK lol...

Above 2: Then @ the laundrettes. 6:30 right after my weekly morning run...I think next time I might have to wear my PJs for it because jeans aren't recommended for running lol!

杂技参观与朋友的照片10/13-10/14 New friends @ the circus demo

Above: From left to right: Me, Berna, Muge(both from Turkey) and...sorry but I forgot her name lol. Shame on me!
Above: Emily & I doing "arabesques" lol...it's so NOT the best but it's ok. This is reminicent to last year's arabesque pose if you've seen it. Or check 十月2008 for the October 2008 blogs.

So far, it's my 4th week living in the UK! Everything is all good! Here I have photos from a circus demo. The tightrope challenge and the juggling were all quite interesting; I personally was better at tightrope walking than juggling. I don't know why but I think I'm better to stay balanced on a rope/wire than juggle...maybe this has to do with dancing, which of course, I LOVE! I met and reunited with some of my new friends! Berka, Muge, & Emily were awesome!

Above 2: I'm holding my trophy for been the 1st male contestant to successfully cross the tightrope without any assistance! Actually, I was guided 1st with a stick then gradually, did it on my own...am I good or what?! Not only that, but I'm also the inspirator for attracting other spectators and encouraged 'em to walk the tightrope/juggle as well! So double 2x the bonus for me haha!
